Mission System

This is the operational layer that sits beneath philosophy.

  • **Philosophy** = what is true
  • **Mission** = what I am here to build, protect, and become
  • **Goals** = what that looks like this year, this quarter, and this week

This system exists so vision does not stay abstract. It should turn meaning into motion, and keep the right things visible enough to survive ordinary life.

The Game

The survival war is won. This chapter is about truth, meaning, congruence, impact, and building a life my family can feel — not just admire.

Core Identity Thread

I have the future in my hand.
I keep my edge.
I keep my word.
I build in a way my family can feel — not just admire.

That identity is not decoration. It is the standard this mission system should reinforce.

How to use this folder

1. Start with life missions

Read `life-missions.md` when zooming out. These should be relatively stable across years.

2. Use 2026 as the current campaign

Read `2026.md` when asking: what matters this year?

3. Organize action through pillars and projects

  • `pillars.md` = the 3-5 domains that organize the year
  • `projects.md` = the active expressions of those pillars

4. Use the scorecard to prevent drift

`scorecard.md` exists so I can tell the difference between:

  • alive and aligned
  • busy and sedated

5. Use check-ins to make the mission lived

`check-ins/YYYY-MM-DD.md` is the ritual diary for the mission system. Use it to capture morning reach checks, midday resets, evening integrity checks, and weekly reach reviews. This is where the mission stops being theory and starts leaving receipts.

Good questions for this system

  • What must be true by the end of this year for it to feel earned?
  • What is a real win versus a seductive distraction?
  • What am I building that my family will actually feel?
  • What drift signs tell me I'm becoming comfortable but dimmed?
  • What projects belong to this season, and which are just novelty without meaning?

Standard

This system should create:

  • clarity without rigidity
  • ambition without self-abandonment
  • structure without deadness
  • momentum without bullshit
  • a path where purpose and profit reinforce each other instead of competing

Dan Koe pull-through

Useful planning stack now reinforced by *Purpose & Profit*:

  • **anti-vision** — what I refuse to keep becoming
  • **vision** — what I want life to look and feel like
  • **mission** — the bridge between refusal and creation
  • **standards** — what I no longer tolerate as normal
  • **projects** — how problems become solutions
  • **constraints** — what I refuse to sacrifice to win
  • **levers** — the actions that actually move reality
