Mission Check-Ins

This folder is the ritual diary for the mission system.

It exists so the check-ins are not just ephemeral chat moments or generic prompts. It gives the mission a paper trail.

What goes here

Create one file per day:

  • `YYYY-MM-DD.md`

Use it to capture:

  • morning reach check-ins
  • midday resets
  • evening integrity checks
  • weekly reach reviews when they happen that day

Why this exists

Honcho remembers patterns. `memory/YYYY-MM-DD.md` captures the broad day. This folder captures the structured receipts of living the mission.

That means we can review:

  • drift patterns
  • what keeps getting negotiated
  • what actually moves pillars
  • what the family can feel
  • whether the mission system is being lived or merely admired

Writing standard

Keep entries short, honest, and specific. This is not performance journaling. It is operational truth-telling.

Good entry qualities:

  • concrete
  • low-drama
  • tied to real life
  • useful for future review

Daily structure

Each daily file should have sections for:

  • Morning Reach Check
  • Midday Reset
  • Evening Integrity Check
  • Weekly Reach Review (optional, only when relevant)

If a check-in is skipped, note it plainly. No moral theatre. No fake gold stars. Just signal.
